Before this, Song Nanyin’s concept of overindulgence was a few hours, half a day, or at the very most, one whole night.

But now, sunlight streamed through the gauze curtains, heralding the arrival of a brand-new morning. It also meant that she and Liu Zhaoran had stayed in this room without stepping outside for four days and three nights.

What kind of concept was that? It was as if Christmas had barely passed and somehow it was already New Year’s Eve, or as if one had gone from the Hundred Herbs Garden to the Three-Flavor Study. Rounded off, it was practically a leap straight from adolescence to middle age.

Maybe the comparison was a bit exaggerated, but Song Nanyin felt that no overblown, elaborate phrase was too much to describe the earth-shaking sex she and Liu Zhaoran had been having.

If Chai Yue called to ask what she had done in Japan, Song Nanyin absolutely could not say it shamelessly. She had been in Japan for five days, and four of them had been spent inside the hotel.

Did that mean soaking in the hot spring and enjoying the view? No, not at all. They had kept the curtains drawn and left their traces all over the room. Apart from meals and the occasional rest, all the remaining time had been spent having sex.

Song Nanyin had only ever seen this sort of thing on Animal World. She never imagined she would one day do something so crazy herself.

The consequences of overindulgence, once the tide of their heat had receded, showed directly on her body. Even after sleeping for nearly eighteen hours, the soreness in her waist and legs was still clearly there. At the slightest movement, her whole body felt as if it were falling apart.

Song Nanyin whimpered and lay back down on the bed. The noise she made was loud enough to wake Liu Zhaoran, whose eyes were still hazy when she first opened them, as if she hadn’t fully emerged from her stupor.

Actually, there was one thing Song Nanyin had never told anyone, only murmured to herself. She rather liked the way Liu Zhaoran looked when she first woke up, a little dazed, a little clumsy, nothing like her usual shrewd self.

Every time she saw Liu Zhaoran just waking up, Song Nanyin wanted to squish her into a little ball and rub her head vigorously. This time, she didn’t just think about it. She actually did it.

She placed both hands on top of Liu Zhaoran’s head and rubbed her overly smooth hair until static electricity made it a complete mess. Only then did Song Nanyin laugh and pull her hands away. Having just woken up and been “bullied” like this, Liu Zhaoran clearly couldn’t snap back to her senses right away.

She let out a soft sound, dazedly letting Song Nanyin do whatever she wanted, then, with her little head slightly mussed, gently nuzzled against Song Nanyin’s chin. Just that one gesture made Song Nanyin feel as though her chest were about to melt.

This Black-Hearted Lotus was being unfairly cute at this moment…

“What are you doing?” Song Nanyin asked quietly, secretly raising her hand to wrap around Liu Zhaoran. When the other woman didn’t react, she held on even tighter. Mm, so soft.

“Team Leader Song messes with me like this first thing in the morning, and then asks me what I’m doing.” Probably because she had been woken up and had her hair rubbed, Liu Zhaoran sounded extremely aggrieved, yet she had a very good temper and showed no sign of morning grumpiness.

Song Nanyin lowered her eyes and looked at her beautiful, delicate profile. Why had she never been willing to admit that Liu Zhaoran was this good-looking? Bare-faced, her pores were still tiny, and her face was nearly flawless.

The small, light red mole lay quietly along the line of her neck, just like Liu Zhaoran’s current state, so docile that Song Nanyin really wanted to touch it.

“It’s just… it’s just that I find it kind of unbelievable. Aren’t we a little too crazy?” Song Nanyin was extremely bold right now, because she had put into action everything she had once wanted to do but hadn’t.

For example, if she wanted to rub Liu Zhaoran’s head, she simply rubbed it. If she wanted to touch the little mole on Liu Zhaoran’s neck, she did so without hesitation. The mole wasn’t raised; it was more like a patch of color hidden beneath the skin.

Song Nanyin thought the mole on Liu Zhaoran’s neck was extremely sexy. If she were grading Liu Zhaoran, this mole would definitely be a point booster.

“But doing it with Team Leader Song, I feel really good.” Liu Zhaoran was a little languid, letting Song Nanyin touch her freely. For an Omega, a three-day heat cycle was perfectly normal; Liu Zhaoran just hadn’t expected Song Nanyin to have the stamina to accompany her through all that time.

Thinking back on the harmonious sex over those three days, Liu Zhaoran felt more and more that choosing Song Nanyin as a bed partner had been the most suitable decision.

“You always talk so shamelessly, always saying things like ‘do it’ and ‘feel good’.” Song Nanyin muttered, yet she was utterly satisfied with the mood. She felt that if there were some kind of X-ray lens, it would reveal her whole body giving off pink bubbles.

She felt that after this time having sex, something between her and Liu Zhaoran had changed, become closer. Thinking about her feelings for this person, Song Nanyin narcissistically concluded that Liu Zhaoran probably liked her too.

See, moving in together had been her suggestion; she was also the one who had initiated intimacy. And all those small, scattered moments were obvious proof of affection.

Thinking that Liu Zhaoran harbored such feelings for her, Song Nanyin laughed softly. Black-Hearted Lotus, liking me and not saying it, so scheming.

“Are you hungry? Want something to eat?” Song Nanyin poked the mole on Liu Zhaoran’s neck again. It was probably ticklish, because Liu Zhaoran shrank her neck and buried her face deeper into her arms.

“Not hungry yet. Can Team Leader Song stay with me a little longer?”

Her voice was muffled, soft and clingy. Song Nanyin didn’t want to refuse; besides, she hadn’t slept enough either. So on the fifth day of overindulgence, at ten in the morning, the two of them held each other in the soft bed and continued sleeping in.

When Song Nanyin woke again, it was already nearly four in the afternoon. The weather was nice, and night hadn’t arrived yet. The space beside the bed was empty. She touched it, and the temperature was cool, which meant Liu Zhaoran had probably been gone for quite a while.

Song Nanyin rubbed her aching waist and was about to get out of bed for a shower when the door was pushed open and Liu Zhaoran walked in. The woman had clearly already tidied herself up, wearing a white crew-neck sweater and matching pants. Her long black hair was casually gathered at the back of her head, giving her a very intellectual beauty.

“Why did you get up even earlier than me?” Song Nanyin muttered. She remembered that it had been Liu Zhaoran’s idea to sleep a little longer, yet the other woman had gotten up earlier instead. Thinking that Liu Zhaoran might have secretly watched her while she slept made Song Nanyin feel a bit awkward.

Stolen glances at sleeping faces: minus one. What was this, making it seem as if she really liked Liu Zhaoran? She wouldn’t admit it.

“I got thirsty in the middle of the night, drank some water, and wasn’t sleepy anymore. You take a shower first. I just had Miss Sakurano send up dinner.”

At night, the hot-spring inn lit dim ever-burning lamps. Looking down from the top floor, both sides of the little paths were lined with retro lanterns, and it looked very beautiful.

Song Nanyin towel-dried her damp long hair. As she passed by the window, she took a gentle breath of the air outside. Mm, such a comfortable feeling.

“What should we do after dinner? I don’t want to sleep anymore.” Song Nanyin picked up a piece of beef tongue. It was grilled crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and paired with rice, it was delicious, just right for how hungry she was right now.

“I asked Miss Sakurano. There’s a bonfire party and fireworks at the beach tonight. The nearest fireworks venue is good, but we can also go somewhere farther to take a look.”

Liu Zhaoran said with a smile, then picked up the beef tongue from her own plate and put it on Song Nanyin’s. The fragrant meat sat in the bowl. Song Nanyin made an mm sound and ate it without standing on ceremony.

“Then let’s go somewhere farther. We can’t just keep hiding around here.”

“Okay, we can walk over. When we get there, we’ll see what the street fair has and have a little more to eat.”

Liu Zhaoran had the plan arranged. Hearing it, Song Nanyin suddenly felt the beef tongue in front of her wasn’t as fragrant anymore. How to put it? It still tasted great, but the atmosphere of strolling through a snack street with Liu Zhaoran and sharing the same snack together was clearly better.

With that thought, Song Nanyin gave up the idea of getting more rice.

Life needs a sense of ritual. The right amount of ritual increases happiness, and the same goes for going out. Especially when going out with someone you care about, girls tend to carefully coordinate their outfits so they look better.

After Song Nanyin and Liu Zhaoran finished their makeup, they said goodbye to Sakurano and finally stepped out of the hotel on the fifth day. Breathing the outside air, wearing trench coats and boots in matching colors with the person she cared about, and stepping onto foreign ground.

This feeling made dense little sprouts of happiness grow in her heart. It was the leisure of being away from work, the ease of shedding the social interactions she couldn’t avoid.

It was walking slowly through snow at five degrees below zero, with a steaming cup of coffee in hand.

It was also wandering through a small Japanese alley late at night and spotting a ramen shop by the roadside at the turn of a corner. Surprise and serendipity collided; amid the rising steam, they drank a beer and ate a bowl of ramen.

Time idled away without truly being wasted.

Song Nanyin was in such a good mood that she kept a bright smile on her face the whole way. The two went to a livelier commercial district a bit farther away. There was a fireworks show planned there tonight, so many people had gathered, and there was no shortage of street vendors.

“There are so many people. Should we set a meeting point? If we get separated, we can wait for each other there.” Song Nanyin watched the flow of the crowd and made the suggestion by Liu Zhaoran’s ear. Just then, the hand hanging at her side suddenly felt cool. She froze for a moment, looked up, and met Liu Zhaoran’s smile.

“What childish suggestion is Team Leader Song making? If we hold hands like this, we won’t get separated.” Liu Zhaoran gave a faint smile, and only then did Song Nanyin suddenly understand. Right. When there were a lot of people, just holding hands was enough.

Thinking this, she curved her lips into a smile and, while Liu Zhaoran wasn’t paying attention, interlaced their fingers tightly.

There were plenty of snacks along the roadside, but Song Nanyin wasn’t particularly hungry, and Liu Zhaoran had no interest in this kind of food either. The two simply bought two crepes, held them in their hands, and took a bite now and then.

“I’ll go take a look over there. Wait for me.” Just as they were about to walk out of the crowd, Song Nanyin suddenly ran toward a shop. Seeing her leave in such a hurry, Liu Zhaoran didn’t have time to ask what was wrong and actually obeyed, standing still in place and waiting.

After a moment, Song Nanyin came out with a bag in her hand. Noticing Liu Zhaoran’s curious gaze, she lifted the bag and shook it in front of her.

“Want to know what it is? Not showing you.”

Mm, the childish Little Lion in the crowd looked especially dazzling.

“Alright, then I’ll wait until Team Leader Song wants to show me. The fireworks are about to start. Let’s go to the beach.”

“Okay.” Song Nanyin’s voice was bright and rose a few notes higher. Seeing her take the initiative to hold Liu Zhaoran’s hand and walk forward, Liu Zhaoran curved her lips and gladly followed.
