The doctor looked at Ji Zhiyi’s indifferent expression, unable to say anything. He scanned Ji Zhiyi’s QR code and added her as a friend. Ji Zhiyi closed her phone and said to Su Lingyue, “Let’s go.”

Su Lingyue, who was behind her, looked a bit reluctant at the vitamins and cat treats. As they were leaving the pet store, Su Lingyue said, “President Ji, the doctor said that if the cat eats some vitamins, it will be good for its fur.”

Ji Zhiyi said, “I heard that.”

If she heard it, then why didn’t she bring two bottles?

Su Lingyue was confused as she looked at her.

Ji Zhiyi said, “Let’s go to another store.”

Su Lingyue was curious. “Was there something wrong with that store?”

Ji Zhiyi said, “It was too expensive.”

Su Lingyue really hadn’t paid attention to the prices, but she believed in Ji Zhiyi. This person, when doing business, must be used to never being at a disadvantage, so she must always try to maximize her profits. Even when buying vitamins, she needed to compare prices.

She was convinced.

After they left the pet store, Su Lingyue was carrying the cat carrier with one hand. After walking a few steps, she started to feel tired, so she carried the carrier on her back. It was quite heavy, and her hair was pulled because of it. She wanted to move her hair out from the carrier, but it got stuck, making her frown.

A hand came forward, and Ji Zhiyi moved her hair from behind her head to her sides. Her fingers passed through her smooth hair, and occasionally they touched the skin on her neck, making Su Lingyue feel that her fingertips were very hot.

It was a bit itchy as it brushed her skin, and she couldn’t help but reach up to scratch it, accidentally touching the back of Ji Zhiyi’s hand.

She turned her head.

Ji Zhiyi was next to her. In the dim light, her features were less sharp, and she seemed softer.

Su Lingyue said, “Thank you.”

Why was she saying “thank you” so often?

Who was the debtor?

Even Su Lingyue, who was a bit slow, could sense that something was wrong with the current situation. Ji Zhiyi, without letting her think too much, said, “Get in the car.”

They turned to the side of the road, and Ji Zhiyi was still the one driving. Su Lingyue would occasionally turn her head to look at her. Her phone vibrated. She took it out of her bag and saw that Chu Yi had sent her a message: [How was today?]

Su Lingyue replied: [It was fine.]

Chu Yi: [???]

She seemed to be surprised by her reply. However, remembering that Su Lingyue hadn’t shown much of an emotional response when she was brought to Ji Zhiyi’s apartment, she figured her “fine” was probably no different from “not fine.”

Chu Yi asked: [Are you still working?]

Su Lingyue: [No, I’m bringing the cat for a checkup.]

Chu Yi: [Is that the cat that President Ji is raising?]

Su Lingyue: [It’s mine.]

Chu Yi, who was eating noodles, almost choked.

She was raising a cat?

Wasn’t she living at Ji Zhiyi’s apartment?

Did Ji Zhiyi agree?

She was starting to suspect that something was wrong. She asked: [What’s your current situation?]

Su Lingyue saw this question, and didn’t reply immediately.

What was her current situation?

She didn’t know what the situation was!

Ji Zhiyi was unpredictable. Every single thing that she did was beyond her expectations. Su Lingyue thought about what Zhang Xian had said, that although Ji Zhiyi looked indifferent, she was actually very kind.

She completely agreed.

But that should be for other people.

It shouldn’t be the same with her, right?

Wasn’t Ji Zhiyi supposed to scold her, humiliate her, and torture her?

For the first time.

She was confused because someone didn’t bully her.

Did she not hate her?

No, if she didn’t hate her, why would she keep her by her side as she ordered her around?

But she did hate her. Then why was she treating her with so much courtesy?

Or was this really what Ji Zhiyi considered revenge?

If that was the case…

Then that would be great!

Su Lingyue had never thought that she would one day look forward to being tortured for a longer time.

She was thinking all kinds of nonsense. Ji Zhiyi didn’t say a word. She had been quiet throughout the whole ride. They had arrived home. Ji Zhiyi turned on the lights. Su Lingyue placed the cat carrier down and looked at the tea table. It was filled with many things.

There were cat vitamins, cat toys, and cat food, and just the cat food alone was of four or five different varieties, with about a dozen of each kind. She was very surprised. Then she heard Ji Zhiyi say, “The housekeeper sent them over, see if there is anything you like.”

Su Lingyue had originally planned on going out to buy some tonight. She was now able to enjoy the pleasure of shopping at home. She was examining all of the things. They all looked good. She picked up a yellow ball, and threw it for the cat. She put a bit of force into it, and when she pulled her hand back, the cat went chasing after the ball, running around in circles.

Ji Zhiyi sat on the sofa, looking at Su Lingyue carrying the cat food over to the cabinets on the balcony. The balcony was originally empty, with only a pot of flowers, but the housekeeper had cleaned it up this afternoon. There was now a cat litter box and a food bowl. Su Lingyue was taking the things, one by one, over there. The cat was right by her, and was carefully choosing its toys.

They all looked very interesting.

She picked two of them and hung them on the balcony. The cat would jump up to bite and play, using up some of its energy.

Su Lingyue was so busy, it was like it was her own apartment. After she finished hanging them up, she realized that something wasn’t right. She was going to say something to Ji Zhiyi, but Ji Zhiyi had sunk into the sofa. Her legs were crossed, and she had her files on her lap. She was holding two sheets of paper, and had put on her glasses at some unknown time.

This was the first time that Su Lingyue had seen her wear glasses.

The light above her was shining on her profile. The glasses accentuated the sharp lines of her face and made her features look even more distinct. Even when she was only slightly moving her hands, it was elegant. Su Lingyue stared at her for a while, afraid of disturbing her work, and didn’t speak.

Ji Zhiyi didn’t even lift her head. “Did you make an appointment with Miss Yang?”

Hearing her mention business, Su Lingyue said, “It’s tomorrow night.”

Ji Zhiyi asked, “Are there any other companies who have made an appointment with Miss Yang?”

Su Lingyue paused for a few seconds.

Ji Zhiyi said, “Tomorrow, give me a list of the prices from other companies, does Miss Yang have any objections to our price?”

Su Lingyue said, “She wants a higher price.”

Ji Zhiyi put down the documents and looked at Su Lingyue. “Okay.”

The light from the glasses reflected her cold gaze. Su Lingyue met her eyes, she always felt a bit familiar, a familiarity that didn’t stem from seeing her daily.

But before she could think about it, Ji Zhiyi had already put the documents back in her bag. She stood up and went to her room. Su Lingyue assumed she was going to wash up, since Ji Zhiyi’s life was quite structured. If she had no plans for the night, she would always shower and rest. It wasn’t like her, who would either go out for a meal, to a bar, or to a club. Ji Zhiyi’s lifestyle was very similar to her personality.

If it were her from before, she definitely wouldn’t have gotten used to this.

But now she actually liked this lifestyle.

Just as Ji Zhiyi entered the bathroom, she began to finish up the last bit of work in the study. Since she could tell what Ji Zhiyi meant, she wasn’t in a rush to organize the study. She just put back the books she had taken out last night. Su Lingyue returned to her own room, ready to wash up.

Just as she closed the door, she heard something scratching at the door.

The scratching of claws was constant, scratching at her eardrums. Su Lingyue went to the door.

The cat was standing arrogantly outside, with a very cocky attitude. Su Lingyue laughed, and opened the door. The cat strutted inside, and Su Lingyue followed it, watching it. She closed the door and started to get ready for bed. When she was done, the cat was at the door again, scratching.

Su Lingyue thought that Ji Zhiyi might be annoyed, so she left the door open.

Then she crouched down and tapped the cat’s head, “You have to choose between staying in here or going out.”

The cat sat on the doorframe, not going in or out.

Su Lingyue was annoyed. “Xiao Mafan!”

She really deserved that name.

Xiao Mafan let out a soft meow, Su Lingyue then agreed, “Okay, I’ll leave the door open, alright?”

Xiao Mafan seemed satisfied and laid down at the door.

Su Lingyue was helpless. She had no other choice but to go to the bathroom, get ready, and then, as she was walking past the bathtub, she couldn’t resist looking at it. She also had a massaging bathtub before. Every day she had loved to be immersed in it. Every time that she did a massage, the masseuse would say that she had good skin, and she would say that it was because of the bubble baths that she took.

It had been so long since she had taken a bubble bath.

Su Lingyue, unable to resist the temptation, walked to the bathtub. After disinfecting it, she added water. The water temperature was just right. It was as if it was enticing her. Su Lingyue, biting the bullet, got in.

Her pores all opened up. She leaned back against the tub, thinking that the door was still open. Not wanting to soak for too long, she took a bath for about half an hour. After washing herself clean, she quickly put on her pajamas. Just as she did, her phone rang. Su Lingyue picked it up and saw it was a call from Ji Zhiyi.

Ji Zhiyi said, “Bring the bath towel in.”

Bath towel?

Su Lingyue asked, “Where is it?”

Ji Zhiyi said, “In the closet.”

She said, “Okay.”

Just as she agreed, the call ended. Su Lingyue quickly put on her pajamas, then walked out. Xiao Mafan was still lying at the door. She opened the door to Ji Zhiyi’s room. Thinking that she might see Ji Zhiyi naked, she hesitated for a moment.

With no towel on, wouldn’t she be naked?

Su Lingyue shook her head.

What was she thinking?

She took a deep breath and walked in, taking a white bath towel from the bottom of the wardrobe. Just as she was about to walk toward the bathroom, she knocked on the door. “President Ji?”

She heard a voice from inside, “Come in.”

She stood at the door, thinking, would she see Ji Zhiyi naked?

But Su Lingyue still pushed the door open. Inside was a frosted glass door, Ji Zhiyi was behind the frosted door, and she could only see her neck and part of her face. Her hair was wet, and the water made her features even more defined. Her black hair was sticking to her face. She was stunning, as if she had just stepped out of a painting.

For the first time, Su Lingyue saw that Ji Zhiyi’s skin was actually very fair.

She stood at the frosted door, seeing Ji Zhiyi’s hand reaching out. Her wrist was very slender and her skin was very pale, and her fingers were long and slender. She didn’t have long fingernails. Her fingertips were very round, and as she was staring at that hand, she forgot what she was doing. Ji Zhiyi said, “The bath towel.”

She snapped back to reality.

She quickly handed the bath towel over.

The inside was very hot. Su Lingyue could feel that her face was becoming warm. Su Lingyue heard the sound of movement, and turned to leave. But as soon as she turned her head, she saw Ji Zhiyi’s lingerie hanging near the mirror. She glanced at the size and shape, and then looked at herself.

She muttered quietly, “Is she really that big?”

The sound of movement behind her had stopped. She turned around and saw Ji Zhiyi standing behind her.
